Sharing of personal or travel-related information of other travellers, including but not limited to co-passengers on the same flight/PNR, guests staying at the same property, or participants in shared transfers or tours, is strictly prohibited. All financial transactions, including payment collections, transfers, remittances, and settlements between Journi Trail™ DMC and its vendors, partners, DMCs, hotels, resorts, villas, and flight providers, are strictly internal matters. Customers, agents, or travellers shall have no right to access, request, or claim such internal information.
7.22. Right to Withdraw Benefits Clause
Journi Trail™ DMC reserves the absolute right to withdraw, discontinue, or revoke any applied discount, reimbursement, or refund at any time for a specific booking ID or traveller, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
7.23. Code of Conduct & Termination Clause
Any breach of this agreement or engagement in unethical conduct may result in immediate termination of the booking, with forfeiture of the entire amount paid. Journi Trail™ DMC reserves the right to suspend services and cancel bookings in cases involving unethical practices, use of abusive or inappropriate language, harassment (including calls or communication), or misconduct directed towards its sales team, operations staff, on-ground personnel, support managers, or any employees. All travellers and agents are required to adhere to the prescribed code of conduct as outlined under the Terms & Conditions.
7.24. Legal Proceedings & Payment Withholding Clause
Journi Trail™ DMC reserves the right to withhold and/or forfeit any amount paid by the traveller in the event of any legal action or complaint filed against the Company with any authority. Such amounts may be retained until the final outcome or judgement of the matter, and shall be subject to the decision rendered therein.
7.25. Tours, Activities & Transfers Clause
All cruise and excursion activities, including but not limited to sunset/sunrise cruises, dolphin cruises, local island visits, sandbank tours, and those mentioned under inclusions, complimentary, or honeymoon benefits, are subject to weather conditions, sea tides, operational feasibility, and other external factors. The respective resort or service provider reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or deny such activities at its sole discretion. Journi Trail™ DMC shall not be held responsible for non-availability or cancellation of such services. Any refund or reimbursement, if applicable, shall be strictly subject to approval by the respective resort or service provider. All city tours, island tours, transfers, and pick-up/drop services via shared or private modes are non-transferable. Any missed or cancelled tour/service shall not be rescheduled for another day during the travel period unless explicitly specified. Speedboat and seaplane transfers are operated directly by resorts or local service providers and are chargeable separately. Any increase in transfer costs, including airfare or ferry charges, shall be borne entirely by the traveller.
7.26. Complimentary Inclusions Disclaimer Clause
Complimentary inclusions provided by the resort are dynamic in nature and may vary or be modified from time to time due to changes in weather conditions, climate, natural events, operational requirements, or substitution with alternative offers, including adjustments in tariff discounts. All such complimentary inclusions, whether listed under the package details or inclusions section, are provided solely by the respective resort. Journi Trail™ DMC does not guarantee the availability, continuity, or exact nature of such services or goods and shall not be held liable for any variation, modification, or non-provision thereof.
7.27. Date of Booking (DOB) & Date of Travel (DOT)
“Date of Booking” (DOB) shall refer to the date on which the Booking Amount (B.AMT) is successfully received and acknowledged by Journi Trail™ DMC, upon which the booking process is initiated. All services, quotations, and reservations shall be processed only after confirmation of DOB. “Date of Travel” (DOT) shall refer to the commencement date of services provided by Journi Trail™ DMC, including arrival and execution of the travel itinerary as per the confirmed booking. All services under the booking shall be considered active from the DOT onwards.
7.28. T-X Payment Timeline Clause
“T-X” shall refer to the payment timeline structure, where “T” denotes the Date of Travel (DOT) and “X” denotes the final payment due date (B.FIN) communicated after confirmation of DOB. All outstanding payments must be fully cleared by the traveller/agent on or before X, prior to 15:00 hours (before banking cut-off time). The T-X calculation shall be considered strictly in working days only and shall exclude weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and public holidays. In cases where the X date falls on a non-working day, the due date shall automatically shift to the preceding working day. Failure to complete payment within the stipulated T-X timeline may result in cancellation or release of bookings without liability on the Company.
7.29. Payment Link Generation Based on Booking ID
Upon confirmation of any travel query, the reservation system of Journi Trail™ DMC shall automatically generate a Customer ID for reference and tracking purposes. Subsequently, upon completion of registration against the same Customer ID—whether initiated by the Company or directly by the customer through the OTA platform—a unique Booking ID shall be generated. The total payable package amount, along with any applicable add-on services, shall be linked to the respective Booking ID. Payment schedules, including installment-wise automated payment links and due dates, shall be generated and communicated in accordance with the confirmed booking structure. All cut-off dates, payment timelines, and pricing schedules shall be communicated through official email communication and reflected in the payment and pricing plan section associated with the Booking ID.
7.30. Payment Link & Authorized Payment Channels
Payment links shall be shared exclusively to the customer’s registered email address through the official automated email systems of Journi Trail™ DMC, originating only from pay@journitrail.com and accounts@journitrail.com. The same payment links shall also be automatically updated and made accessible on the respective customer or partner dashboard. Employees, sales representatives, and agents are strictly prohibited from generating, sharing, or transmitting payment links through any unofficial channels or from accepting direct payments under any circumstances. Journi Trail™ DMC shall not accept payments made through any mode other than those officially issued via its authorized email domains or designated platform/dashboard. Any payments made outside these channels shall be considered invalid and shall not be the responsibility or liability of the Company.
7.31. Payment Gateway Checkout Offers
Any discounts, cashback offers, promotions, or incentives displayed at the time of checkout are provided solely by the respective payment gateway or financial service provider. Journi Trail™ DMC has no control over, influence on, or responsibility for the availability, eligibility, or fulfillment of such offers. All such offers are governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of the payment gateway, and any disputes or claims arising therefrom shall be addressed directly with the respective provider.
7.32. Payment Gateway Settlement
Payments made via payment links are processed through a third-party payment gateway account or wallet and are subsequently credited to the Journi Trail™ DMC wallet. Thereafter, such funds are settled into the Company’s designated bank account within a standard settlement cycle of T+2 to T+3 business working days, subject to banking and gateway processing timelines. Payments made via wallet or wallet-linked systems are received into the Journi Trail™ DMC customer/partner wallet and mapped against the respective Booking ID and Customer ID, with real-time or near real-time updates reflected on the dashboard. In such cases, wallet-linked payment links must be used for all subsequent transactions related to the booking.
7.33. Payment Gateway & Automated Process
The payment system operates through an automated mechanism wherein a single standard payment link is generated per booking and remains active for the entire payment schedule. The link automatically updates the next due date and outstanding amount within 1–2 hours of receipt of each successful payment, in accordance with the agreed pricing and payment plan. Journi Trail™ DMC shall not be responsible for sending payment reminders, and it is the sole responsibility of the traveller/agent to track due dates and payment status. The payment link shall automatically expire at 15:00 hours on the due date/cut-off date. An extension up to 23:00 hours may be granted upon request at the discretion of the Company. Payments received after 15:00 hours shall be credited to the customer/partner wallet and must be re-processed through the dashboard for booking confirmation and continuation.
7.34. Payment Receipt & Invoice Clause
Guests/travellers may download their payment receipts by logging into the booking dashboard account and accessing the designated invoice section. Payment receipts shall be available via the standard invoice link format provided for each booking ID, subject to system availability and authentication requirements. The final tax invoice/bill shall be issued only after the complete settlement of the final payment in the Company’s designated bank account. Once generated, the same shall be made available and accessible through the customer/partner dashboard for reference and download.
7.35. Cash Payment Restriction Clause
With effect from 01st April 2019, Journi Trail™ DMC does not accept any cash deposits or cash-based payments under any circumstances. Any cash amount, if deposited or transferred in contravention of this policy, shall be deemed unauthorized and shall not be eligible for refund, reversal, or adjustment and may be treated as forfeited.
7.36. Payment Delay Intimation Clause
In the event of any delay or missed payment, the traveller/agent is required to immediately notify the Company at support@journitrail.com. Timely communication is essential to enable review of the booking status and avoid automatic cancellation or release of services due to non-payment.
7.37. Cancellation Flexibility & Refund Facilitation
Where applicable and subject to supplier confirmation, Journi Trail™ DMC may facilitate 100% refundable cancellations up to 48 hours prior to resort check-in for eligible partnered properties. However, such refund eligibility remains strictly subject to the policies, approval, and final confirmation of the respective resort or service provider. Similarly, unused on-ground services or land-based components of a package may be eligible for refund only if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the respective service, experience, or tour. Requests for modifications, itinerary changes, or cancellation of tours and experiences are generally considered up to T-2 days from the Date of Travel (DOT), subject to service provider approval.
7.38. Insurance-Linked Cancellation Clause
In the event of cancellation of any booking covered under an insurance-backed package, the applicable cancellation policy shall remain in force and binding as per the terms of the booking and the respective insurance provider’s policy conditions. Any claim or reimbursement arising from such cancellation shall be subject to approval, assessment, and processing by the insurance company, and shall be governed strictly by the terms and exclusions of the insurance policy. The Company shall not be liable for any rejection, delay, or partial settlement of insurance claims.
7.39. Amendment, Rescheduling & Re-Issuance Clause
Any amendment, modification, or rescheduling of travel dates, including re-issuance of bookings, shall be strictly subject to the availability of hotel rooms, flight seats, and/or experiences, and shall further be governed by the respective policies of the resort partners and airline/flight partners. In addition to supplier charges, any amendment or rescheduling facilitated by Journi Trail™ DMC shall incur applicable service costs, including but not limited to: Service Charge (INR 5,000/-++), Convenience Fee++, Fare Difference, and applicable Rescheduling/Re-Issuance Charges. These charges shall be calculated on a per person, per change, per night basis, based on the actual ticket value of the product, activity, stay, dining, or experience booked.
7.40. Payment Schedule Compliance Clause
All installments, including the booking amount, advance amount, and final payment, must be paid in full on or before the respective due date or cut-off date for each installment. Failure to adhere to the prescribed payment timelines shall result in automatic cancellation of the booking due to non-payment or delayed payment, without any liability on Journi Trail™ DMC.
7.41. Refund Credit & Consent Clause
Any approved refund for unused services shall be credited to the customer/partner wallet linked to the respective Booking ID and reflected on the customer dashboard. All refunds shall be processed only after receipt of explicit confirmation/consent from the customer via official email communication or through the customer dashboard. In the event such consent is not received within 48 hours from the date of communication of the final refund offer and calculation, the refund amount shall be automatically credited to the customer wallet on the dashboard. A Credit Note (CN++) shall thereafter be issued and communicated via registered email.
7.42. Acceptance of Terms & Effective Date Clause
All Reservation & Booking Terms, Pricing & Payment Terms, Cancellation Policy, Refund & Return Policy, and Terms & Conditions/Terms of Use shall be deemed effective and applicable from the date of booking. The traveller shall be deemed to have fully accepted all terms of service upon receipt of the detailed documentation including but not limited to All Inclusions, Package Exclusions, Honeymoon Inclusions, Important Points, Procedures, Reservation Policy, Cancellation Policy (Regular & Medical), Refund Policy, Pricing & Payment Policy, and Terms & Conditions, as well as any additional policies made available via the official website link www.journitrail.com and subdomain legal.journitrail.com, and/or communicated via email and customer itinerary.
7.43. Obligation to Remind Customer for Payment Due Date
The Traveller/Agent acknowledges and agrees that all payment deadlines, schedules, and timelines once communicated via email or any official written communication shall be deemed final and binding. The Company shall have no obligation or responsibility to provide any further reminders, whether manual or automated, including personal follow-ups, calls, or automated messages. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Traveller/Agent to track, adhere to, and complete all payments within the communicated timelines. Any delay or failure to act within such deadlines shall attract auto-cancellation and zero refund.
7.44. Supremacy Clauses
Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Policy, including any prior communication, representation, itinerary, quotation, or understanding, the terms and conditions set forth herein shall prevail and have overriding effect in the event of any inconsistency, conflict, or ambiguity. Any service or component explicitly marked as “Non-Refundable” shall override all other provisions and be strictly enforced as non-refundable under all circumstances. Supplier-specific terms and fare rules take precedence where applicable. No verbal communication or informal assurance shall alter this Policy unless expressly confirmed in writing.
7.45. Driver Working Hours & Extra Usage Clause (Destination Services)
All transportation and chauffeur-driven services in Destination are provided strictly on a time-duration basis and shall be governed by the following operational conditions:
- Quarter Day Cab: Valid for up to 1–2 hours
- Half Day Cab: Valid for up to 3–4 hours
- Full Day Cab: Valid for up to 6–8 hours
Any usage exceeding the allocated service duration shall be treated as overtime/extended usage, and shall attract an additional charge of USD 20 per hour, calculated proportionately or per commenced hour. Driver working hours are fixed, and the maximum operational duty timing shall be until 09:00 PM (local Destination time). Any request for transportation services beyond 09:00 PM may be declined, rescheduled, or charged additionally at the sole discretion of the Company or local operator. All tolls, parking, waiting charges, island/remote surcharges, and route deviations are payable by the guest.
